Jayke & Joanna Mangion - Entrepreneurs + Founders
Jayke Mangion is an award-winning hospitality professional from Melbourne, Australia, whose career spans over two decades across Europe, Japan, Australia, and the UK. With a passion for the industry— from luxury hotels to boutique cafés Jayke has been instrumental in opening, owning, and managing more than 45 establishments worldwide.
His innovative ventures, including Brickwood Coffee & Bread, WC Bars, Nue Ground, and The Old Post Office Bakery, reflect his commitment to self-funded, organic growth. In addition to his hospitality endeavours, Jayke is the co-founder of WorkReel.com, a modern recruitment app transforming hiring
practices.
Joanna Mangion is a dynamic, trilingual professional with over 20 years of experience in the wellness and hospitality industries across Europe. A qualified naturopath and certified fitness instructor, Joanna has dedicated her career to curating holistic, engaging, and transformative experiences that leave a lasting impact. Her journey has taken her through leading roles with some of the industry's most respected names, including Soho House, Fitness First, Virgin Active, First Restaurant Group, and the prestigious Eight Members Clubs, among others.
Driven by a deep commitment to excellence and authenticity, Joanna continues to bring her unique vision to every project she undertakes, always focused on enhancing lives through meaningful, wellness-focused encounters.
Brickwood
Brickwood Coffee & Bread is a beloved collection of Australian-inspired cafés, established in 2012 and among the pioneers of London’s brunch scene. What began as a cozy spot in Clapham has grown into a South West London institution, with four thriving locations in Clapham, Balham, Battersea, and Streatham— and more on the horizon for 2025. As one of the first cafés in London to introduce Flat Whites and grilled banana bread, Brickwood remains a local favorite, staying true to its independent roots and organic growth while fostering a strong sense of community in South West London.
Wine & Charcutrie
WC Bars transforms historic 100-year-old Victorian public spaces into intimate and characterful wine bars. The original location, tucked beneath Clapham Common Tube Station, set the stage for this unique concept, followed by a second venue in Bloomsbury, housed in a Grade II-listed former water closet.
With Liverpool Street on the way the WC’s offer a carefully curated wine selection, artisanal grazing boards, live music, creating a quirky one-of-a-kind experiences in London.
nue ground cafe + studio
Nue Ground Café + Studio is a wellness-focused destination on Abbeville Road, blending a nutritious café with a dynamic fitness and treatment space. Since opening, it’s become a local hub for healthy living in South West London. The café serves vibrant, nourishing dishes—like smoothie bowls, fresh salads, and plant-based meals—while the studio hosts over 40 weekly classes, including Pilates, yoga, HIIT, and barre. A natural treatment room offers facials and full-body therapies, rounding out a holistic approach to movement, recovery, and well-being.
The Old Post Office Bakery
The Old Post Office Bakery, established in the early 1980s, is London's oldest organic bakery. Located on Landor Road, Clapham North. It was born from the city's 1960s and 70s counterculture, blending a DIY ethic with traditional European artisan bread-making techniques. The bakery offers a variety of organic breads, pastries, and savoury items, all crafted from simple, wholesome ingredients.
